HOMONYM – A CANADIAN CHORUS
Homonym is a video art piece that shows a full calendar year of the exact same view from my studio in Western Quebec, Canada. Canada’s four seasons change the view dramatically over the course of 365 days. The chorus, repeating in Spring and in Autumn, is the familiar sound of a flock of Canada Geese.

HOMONYM is a video art piece that shows a full calendar year of the exact same view from my studio in Western Quebec, Canada.

Canada’s four seasons change the view dramatically over the course of 365 days.

The chorus, which repeats itself in Spring and in Autumn, is the flyover sound of a flock of Canada Geese.

Do you notice how the exact same noise can elicit different emotional responses from you, depending upon the context?

Same sound, different meaning = a homonym.
